OLD
MAGNOLIA
FARM
Located on 100 acres in Metamora’s beautiful horse country, this 3500 SF farmhouse underwent a full exterior restoration. The goal of the project was to return the property to its original 1860s splendor, which included the house restoration and construction of a new breezeway and 9000 SF horse barn/carriage house. A historic rendering, completed in the late 1800s, was inspiration for the restoration of the estate. All existing siding and trim was removed and replaced with new composite materials to replicate each intricate trim detail. The large front porch was extended around the home, expanding views and giving the home a more grand appearance. The horse barn and carriage house, connected by the 100 foot breezeway, features a full pine board interior with 6 horse stalls, a large hayloft and apartment overlooking the pastures. Completed in 2014, the property, now called the “Old Magnolia Farm,” is a stunning and unique American farmhouse and equestrian estate.
